Creating Space is a laboratory where Territory youth test their designs.

In 2023 Territory began a collaboration with neighborhood partners to transform one of these lots, 557 N Central Avenue, into a space for intergenerational understanding and overcoming stigma. This lot, known as Creating Space, has become the laboratory where Territory youth test their designs. Recognizing the financial and mental health disparities in their environment (nearby the lot is a soup kitchen and halfway home), they have remained committed to bringing basic necessities to those in need. Across five years, they have proposed a supply bank, clothing box, first aid kit, and hygiene box which are now combined into the resource box. Building and replicating it is now one of Territory’s highest priorities.
